Topiramate is a seizure medication or anticonvulsant. It is commonly used to treat seizures. Some brands may be used to treat migraines.

Get emergency medical help if you suspect an overdose, allergic reaction, or other serious reaction such as (not limited to): mood/behavior changes, vision problems, dehydration symptoms, symptoms of kidney stone, symptoms of high acid in blood, symptoms of high ammonia in blood. Other side effects include: fever, weight loss, numbness, dizziness, flushing, mood problems, stomach issues, cold symptoms, changes in your sense of taste.
